For this challenge I did a scrapbook/arty type layout....

I had a couple sheets of this gorgeous scrappy paper, I just HAD to use for this challenge. I cut out some of the shapes and popped them up on the main page...

Try it on Tuesday - Black & White + one Colour

 Good Morning all! It's been a while since I was on, but I am back and ready to create! 

Today at Try it on Tuesday, 

we have a new challenge up for the next couple weeks... 

Black & White + 1 colour.... one of my favourite challenges!!

It's been a hectic couple of months and I just HAD to do some art journaling for me. 

I started off by writing down some of my thoughts and feelings on a white journal page, I wrote across the page, then turned it to write down the page.. asemic writing. I often do this as my first layer of an art journal, no one knows what I wrote, but I know what's there and that is the most important thing to me in art journaling. 

Next, I added some black acrylic paint through a stencil using a sponge ... 

Finally, I added a red heart using TCW Stencil Butter through a stencil, added some red splatters, a border and a word.

It was so therapeutic to art journal again! I do hope you will join us for this awesome challenge.. and be sure to check out what my team mates have done as well!

I made a fun little art journal spread for today using some old rub-ons I have had for ever, some paints, splatters, stamping and my little girl doing what I love to do when I have time.. and even when I don't!

 Good Morning all! Today at Try it on Tuesday, 

we have a brand new spooky challenge up for the next couple weeks...

 Halloween

For this challenge I made a fun ghoulish art journal spread to celebrate the season!

Some background scrapbook paper, some torn paper, some inking through a stencil, some pearls, some washi, a couple Ghoul friends! A fun one to do!

I made a slimline art page for this challenge using TH circle stencil and some yummy stencil butter from The Crafters Workshop. 

I used some Mica powder on a circle chipboard for my little lady to sit on! A little sentiment.. and done.

Try it on Tuesday - Keep it Simple

 Good Morning all! Today at

 Try it on Tuesday, we have a new challenge up ... 

"Keep it Simple"

For this art journal spread, I did keep it pretty simple... TH Sun ray stencil with squeezed lemon ink in the upper corner, some watercolors of blue on the opposite corner, some stamping, washi tape, word sayings, an image and quote, with some splatters! Easy Peasy!

Try it on Tuesday - Feathered Friends

 Good Morning all, and welcome to a brand new challenge over at

 Try it on Tuesday

For the next two weeks the challenge is "Feathered Friends" 

 I made a scrappy art journal type page for this challenge. I first put some scrapbook paper down, then added some hexagons using Vintage Photo distress ink through a stencil. I used a feather stamp and stamped the feathers on a coordinating piece of scrapbook paper and fussy cut these out. I knew I wanted to use a friend type image and found these little cuties on Pinterest, cut them out, placed the feathers behind the 2 close friends and left the one girl by herself... this is typically me in a crowd! LOL! I stamped some birds, added some washi, and a sentiment. Voila.. feathered friends!

 Good morning all! 

Today at Try it on Tuesday we have a new challenge up for the next two weeks...

Travel and Adventure

Even though we are starting to open up after this pandemic, travel will be minimum for us this summer! But we can travel in our art space! I made a tag for this challenge using modeling paste, stencils,  ink sprays, some rub-ons, washi tape and my traveling lady!

Now for those of you who know me, this is so not me! LOL! I made an art journal page, using some stencils and acrylic paints for the background and a magazine image for my party girl! Added some outlining and pearls... about as feminine as I can get!

Try it on Tuesday - Inspired by a Song

 Good morning all! Today we have a new challenge up for the next 2 weeks at

 Try it on Tuesday!

"Inspired by a Song"

I love music! All types! I have the tunes on the time! I turn up the volume loud, sing my heart out at times (with the door closed as my singing voice is not so good!), and am happy! 

One of my favorite songs is a rap song my eldest son use to play back in his younger days... It just makes me feel good! The song is "Sunshine" by Atmosphere. You really need to check it out.. it makes you feel so sunshiny and all!

So I made a sunshine spread in my art journal today for this challenge! I used some foil adhesive behind a sunshine stencil, added foil, some gesso, some writing of some of the lyrics, and a bike. My happy page!

I do hope you bust out some tunes today and sing your heart out while you play!

Try it on Tuesday - Rainbow

 Today, my teammates and I are sharing some 

Rainbows over at Try it on Tuesday!

For this challenge, I used a magazine image of a camera that had a black and white burst from the lens, so I adhered this to my art journal spread, after I colored the background yellow and added some orange partial circles through a stencil. I then colorizes the rainbow and circles to complete this project! As you can tell, the image warped a bit when adhering it down, but that is ok! Life is messy sometimes! LOL!

Try it on Tuesday - Hello Spring

 Good Morning all! It is turning out to be a gorgeous Spring here in Southern Ontario! 

The birds are singing, the robins are nesting, and the weeds are growing! LOL!!

We have the perfect challenge over at Try it on Tuesday ... 

"Hello Spring"

I made a card for a friend today using an image from a magazine! I love Cherry Blossoms and I just had to use this! I didn't do too much to it, just added an embossed sentiment and some perfect pearl drops. Sometimes less is more!
