January BLUES

Happy winter everyone! It has been grey and freezing here this past week, so what better way to spend my time, but to play!

I created this mixed media altered computer board and used my 2019 word of the year... INSPIRE as inspiration!

It was fun and easy to do and I love how it turned out!

Think I may do some more today, as it is still dreary and freezing out!

I will submit this to the following as well.....

Mixed Media Place  - inspired by the winter moodboard colors

Mixed Media and Art - inspired by the blues!

More Mixed Media challenges - anything goes with blues!

Thanks for taking a peek!

A new project!

Hello all.... it has been a while since I created, so I made this altered computer board for a couple challenges this month! It was fun to get messy again, and I really do need to create every day for the rest of the year.

I created this for Words & Paintery October challenge. Here is the gorgeous colors we were to use...
Don't you just love those blues, greens and shimmery gold together? I know I took my inspiration from this to create my mixed media computer board.

I also used the beautiful moodboard over at Mixed Media & Art for this months challenge....

I love the dreaminess of this mood board and the colors with pops of gold!

One last challenge I made this for was over at Mixed Media World , where we could use anything mixed media as well as glass or imitation glass. I used glass gem stones to add a pop of sparkle to my dreamy piece.

Thanks for taking a peek!

Mixed Media & Art

You really need to check out this amazing challenge blog... Mixed Media & Art.

The challenge for this month is to use this mood board for inspiration for your art piece....

I just love all the blues and greens of this board!

I decided to stick to an art journal spread, using a Christmas napkin I had from this past season, I adhered this down with matte medium, stamped, stenciled and painted my way to happiness! I then added some gauze I had sprayed black, and glass gel beads. I finished it off with a tag that I used shimmer paints on, some splatters and a photo of a door (another inspiration from the mood board!). Finally I added some dots I had in my stash from forever ago!

Thanks for taking a peek and if you can, you really need to check out what the DT did for this board... truly stunning pieces!
