January BLUES

Happy winter everyone! It has been grey and freezing here this past week, so what better way to spend my time, but to play!

I created this mixed media altered computer board and used my 2019 word of the year... INSPIRE as inspiration!

It was fun and easy to do and I love how it turned out!

Think I may do some more today, as it is still dreary and freezing out!

A little Sunday fun!

Today is so hot and humid outside, it was a great day and stay in the AC and play! Today I decided to do the challenge at Mixed Media Place. I love the moodboard that they have today and it was so relaxing to get into some of my stash and do a layout for a change! How relaxing is this...

Here is my layout... with lots of Finnabair inspired products, and some just me time!

Mixed Media Place - Creative Gym #16

Happy Sunday everyone! 

 

I took some time for myself today to play and decided to create a cover for one of my many art journals!

 

I got the inspiration from Mixed Media Place. They have the most talented design team members and the best inspiration for anything mixed media! This months challenge is all about new beginnings!

 

I am dedicating this year to me! I always am there for my husband, kids, and others, and always put myself last. This year, I am putting myself closer to the top of that list.

 

So a new art journal cover on my new art journal for 2016 is something I just had to do!

Mixed Media Place - Creative Gym Exercise #1

Hi all! It has been a crazy week in my life and the challenge over at Mixed Media Place - Creative Gym Exercise #1 was just the cure to get myself grounded today! 

The creative task this week was to:
1. Use black
2. Use white

3. Use grey

4. And - add one more color of your choice.

 

This spread turned out way different than I intended, but once I got the white acrylic paint down in the background, the black and grey just did what they wanted to do! I added some splashes of neon pink (keeping with all the amazing designers at Mixed Media Place, a few dots, some thread, a sticker, and some journaling and this is what I came up with...
