Black and White and Stripes

Hello all! I finally took some time for myself to art! I made an art journal spread in my Dina Wakley mixed media journal for a couple challenges today!

The first challenge is for The Artistic Stamper Creative Team Blog. September challenge is to use black and white on a project. I love black and white and this was just want I needed to get inspired!

Here is my art journal spread using black and white and some rubber stamps as needed!

I also love snarky, so this little sentiment was perfect! LOL!!!

Here is a shot of the products and stamps used for this little spread... the rubber stamps were carabella.

I am also going to enter this into the challenge at Art Journal Journey challenge blog as well. This month we are to use polka-dots, stripes, plaids or patterns in our art journals, and this I did! What great challenges to kick start my day of playing and getting messy!

Thanks for taking a peek!

  1. Oh she has quite a sharp tongue, doesn't she? But I love her Helen. AndI do adore those cool stripes. It was smart to keep it in black and white. Thanks so much for joining us at Art Journal Journey. Hugs-Erika

  3. This is a fabulous journal entry, Helen. The image, snarky or not, would not have looked nearly as good in color. You chose your focal image wisely, and it fit in so well with Erika's theme, too. Thanks so much for joining us at Art Journal Journey, We hope to see more of your incredible (and snarky) art in the future, too!
