Even though it's a new start to the year, January in Southern Ontario tends to be grey and snowy, so it is kind of a blue month, but... arting helps!

Try it on Tuesday - Santa is coming to Town

 Happy December all, and Merry Christmas!

The last challenge for the year at Try it on Tuesday is 

"Santa is Coming to Town"

For this challenge, I made a scrappy page for my yearly scrapbook of one

Christmas inspired page.

I scrapbooked for years before I got into art journaling and mixed media, and because my boys are grown and they don't want me scrapbook them anymore, I do make a quick page for myself in a Christmas album. 

Nothing fancy, but it was fun to do!

I do wish you all a very Merry Christmas, and if you can join us at this time of year, we would love to see what you come up with!

Try it on Tuesday - Traditional Christmas

 Hi everyone! It's starting to feel like Christmas, so what better way to start the festive season but with a challenge at Try it on Tuesday

For the next two weeks we want to see a project reflecting 

"Traditional Christmas"

I made a card for this challenge, and of course I just had to add a bit of snark! We typically do not have turkey at Christmas, no one likes it! But the boys do like stuffing.. so I make stuffing and no turkey! LOL!.

Sisterhood of Snarky Stampers - C is for Critter

 Hi all! I am thrilled to be a Guest Designer at Sisterhood of Snarky Stampers!

I miss all my Sistahs and can't wait to see what they have done with the new challenge this month...

For this challenge, I made a gelli print background, added some doodles, washi tape, a sentiment and of course some lil' critters! Pretty easy!

Happy News!!! And Make it Magical at Try it on Tuesday!

Hello all! I've missed everyone so much that Avril and the girls are having me back on the design team at Try it on Tuesday.  

I am so excited to be back on this amazing team of wonderful artists! Thanks everyone!

The challenge for the next two weeks is ... 

"Make it Magical"

For this challenge I did an art journal page, and it's not snarky!  First I applied a layer of clear gesso, then I spritzed Dylusion and Tim Holtz inks in a variety of colour to get this magical background. I added some white splatters and writing with a white pen. I then used a stencil with molding paste to create the stars, and colourized them silver after those dried. 

 I then added my little magical fairy girl, some washi tape and a couple word sentiments.
