Try it on Tuesday - Pretty papers

 Hi everyone!  Today at Try it on Tuesday, we have a new challenge up for the next couple of weeks...

"Pretty Papers"

 I usually do mixed media backgrounds, and thought I would change things up a bit. I use to scrapbook ages ago, and have quite the stash, so I am getting back into it again, and thought, why not make a scrapbook layout!  So I used some of my favourite papers I have in my stash, some embellishments, and a photo of me many, many, many years ago! Over 60, but whatever! LOL!

 Good morning all and Happy September! 

This next two weeks at Try it on Tuesday, the challenge is

Of course I had to make an art journal type spread, and used a photo of a bunch of little ones! Some stamping, embossing, splatters, washi tape, and completed!

Try it on Tuesday - Going round in Circles

 Good morning all! Today at Try it on Tuesday, we will have you 

"Going round in Circles' 

I painted the background black, then used a large dotted bubble wrap that I roll white onto, then squished it down on the black. There was a bit of blue and red from another project on my bubble wrap but I liked the hint of colour popping through.  Added some white circles using a white writ out pen and circle washi for my little gal!

I made a fun little card I am sending to my sister,,,, just because!

I used some old scrapbook paper I had, added some stamping and embossing of the flowers, and fussy cut the dock and "jumpers" enjoying a dip in the pond on this hot August day!

Try it on Tuesday - Oh so Sweet

 Good morning all! The new challenge for the next two weeks is up at Try it on Tuesday,

"Oh so Sweet"

For this challenge I just had to do a little snarky-ish page! I used some burlap ink through a stencil for the background with some candy cane red splatters. I then used a die to cut out the hexagon shape and used the little hexagon scraps as embellishments as well. Then some Washi tape and my "sweet" little girl! 

Also, a huge Thanks to Esther for being our Guest Designer for this challenge!

TIOT - Romance

 Good morning all and Happy February!

I have to say, this was a tough one for me... not sure why, maybe because I like snarkiness way more than romance! LOL! (Ask my hubby of 40+ years and he will agree!) but I did make a little ATC for this one using some Dina Wakley stamps I have had for ages.

For todays challenge I made an art journal page using a piece of patterned paper for the background, added some ink to make it look like a night scene, added some white splatters for stars, embossed some trees, added black gesso at the bottom and wrote out the lyrics to "Oh what a night". It was a fun one to do!
