Sisterhood of Snarky Stampers - #158 - U is for Upcycle

Good morning all you snarky fans! Edna has a new challenge up at

U is for Upcycle

For this challenge I decided to make a canvas piece that I am going to adhere to the front of a cardboard card... one day! I upcycled a little of different bits and bobs, but the best piece was the old rusty nail! This nail, and a whole pail full, came from a 150 year old beam that my son de-nailed to use in some furniture he was building.
I just HAD to keep these... one never knows when one wants to get nailed!!!

Not such a snarky piece, but it is upcycled for you!

Thanks for taking a peek and I do hope you will join Edna and the Sistahs this challenge!!!You have 2 weeks to upcycle and share!

Steampunk-ish

Hi there! I usually don't have time to do other crafty things other my DT stuff, but I have had a surplus of spare time this past couple weeks and time to create!!

I made this altered canvas for the Steampunk challenge

It was a blast gathering all my bits and such, getting messy and just having fun!

Thanks for taking a peek and stay creative!!

Go Green and/or Recycle

Good morning! The girls over at Try it on Tuesday challenge blog have an awesome challenge for the next couple weeks .. Go Green and/or Recycle something!

I decided to do both! I used an old iPhone that my son had that was broken and lots of green!!

I love recycling old computer parts for art bases, so why not an old iphone! First I found some bits and bobs in my stash... some are new, some are recycled as well...

Then after adhering them down to the iphone using gel medium, I painted it all with black gesso...

Next step was to use some green ink sprays and spray all over.

Final step was to use a selection of metal waxes to highlight the areas that are raised. (forgot to photograph this step!).

Just played until I was happy with the finished product...

I hope you can Go Green and Recycle this week!

Thanks for taking a peek!
