"To celebrate the New Year, we would like you to create a mixed media card or project using something 'new', perhaps you got some fabulous new craft item for Christmas or you have something new that you have not used yet - just remember to tell us what the new item is!"
I received a huge box of "new" old boards from computers from a neighbour! He knows I do mixed media and thought I would like them! Of course I LOVE them!
I made a little plaque for my art room using one of the computer boards, painted it with black gesso, added a few bits and pieces, inked it, and rub some silver on it! Voila!
Thanks for taking a peek!

DeleteHow blown away am I right now!! LOVE THIS!! Helen, I am so impressed that you took a (new) box of old computer leftovers and make this stunning work of art, and to think, I throw my computers away when they're done! Silly me! lol. I love the colours, and of course the amazing textures created by your computer parts. And I have to say the contrast of the flower against all the harsh metal elements is completely genius!!

DeleteHoly Toledo Batman and Robin! Wowzers! I was just talking to my friend about using his old computers in my art and then I see this amazeballs design-genius! I bet this looks amazing in your art room and you could do so many things with the other computer pieces. Awesome sauce and wowzers and fantabulous piece. The cherry on top is the play of masculine and feminine all in one design. Fan-freakin-tastic!!!!!
